At Crystal Mountain we limit the size of each class to 12 students to allow for small-group bonding and individual attention. Crystal Mountain lecture classes typically have one instructor.
With the small class size, each student has ample opportunity to ask questions and receive the guidance they need.
What is the licensing process for Massage Therapists in New Mexico and in Other States?
Each state in the United States has different licensing requirements for massage therapists. There are some that actually don’t have a licensing process. New Mexico has very rigorous requirements for massage therapists. In order to become licensed in this state you need to have graduated from an approved massage therapy school like Crystal Mountain with at least a seventy percent pass rate in Anatomy and Physiology, and in the massage and body work classes. Once you’ve graduated from an approved school you will probably need to take a licensing exam. When you pass this exam, you will be granted a license to practice massage therapy.
Since New Mexico requires more hours of education than many other states, if you do decide to move, it’s likely you’ll meet that state’s requirements for licensure. In most cases you won’t need to take additional course work to get licensed in another state.
